Dr. Neil Brickel

Dr. Neil Brickel completed medical school at St. Louis University (1967) and St. Louis Psychoanalytic
Institute 1984. Dr. Brickel combines the use or psychotherapy, medication management and genetic
screening to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of these struggling with psychiatric disorders. He has
been in private practice since 1976 and has specialized in the psychiatric treatment of adults, with an
emphasis on patients with post-traumatic stress disorder, multiple personality disorder, abuse related
disorders and attention deficit disorder. Dr. Brickel’s current board certifications include the American
Board of Psychiatry Neurology since 1976. Dr. Brickel shows compassion, empathy and a strong ability to
work with a patient to identify their specific treatment needs to create a safe environment to allow for
change, growth and healing. It is his strong belief when these factors are combined with the genetic
screening and medication management the patient has the greatest ability to not only feel better, but
also facilitate an atmosphere for positive growth.
